André O. Möller (b. 1962) is a Düsseldorf-based composer and
sound artist. Formerly a folk and rock musician, for the last 20
years he has been researching the materiality and effects of
sound in the form of concert pieces, sound installations, and
presentation forms in between. Möller’s work is often created in
close collaborations, giving rise to work that possesses a very
personal and idiosyncratic authenticity. Similarly important for
Möller is the examination of the physics of instruments and
sound space. His work often questions the standardized,
hierarchical concert experience, placing the recipient near the
musicians in an engaging and inviting sonic experience.
